The catfish and bass
continue to please while lots of small bluegill are biting with a few
big ones thrown in. Unfortunately, no crappie have been caught this
week. Water quality here is still good.
Catfish
We're still seeing our guests catching from 4 to 5 cats for an
evening's effort. Most are running from 4 to 10 pounds. Cut baits and
crawdads (crayfish) are producing most of the catfish action.
Bass
It's improved considerably since last week
with several 3 to 4 pounders being caught. The baitfish have moved
into our area and the bass are feeding on them. Live jumbo minnows as
well as live crawdads have been producing most of the action.
Crappie
Sorry to say there have
been no crappie caught from our docks again this week.
Bluegill
It's been the same for
several weeks now, a lot of small bluegill and a few big ones. Red
worms and mealworms are the go to baits for these tasty panfish.
Tight lines everyone
